Morro Bay City Attorney Announces Final Results for Local Election

MORRO BAY, Calif. -- The City Attorney for Morro Bay has announced final results for the Mayor and Councilmember races, after enough ballots have been counted to indicate the winner.
Jamie Irons has received over 50% of the vote and will be Morro Bay's next Mayor.
Noah Smukler and Christine Johnson have also received enough votes to be assured their seats on the City Council.
Officials are saying it will still be a couple of weeks until the positions are certified.
