ARROYO GRANDE -- As Christmas approaches, a patriotic group is busy welcome home troops.

On Friday, the group rolled out the red carpet for a soldier who hasn't been home for the holidays in 14 years.

For the second day in a row, members of the group "Welcome Home Troops" got to do what they do best.

They thanked a war veteran for his service and they did it in a big way.

A sea of red, white and blue moved the soldier to tears.

On Friday, "Welcome Home Troops" paid a visit to the Storton family of Arroyo Grande.

He's never been home for Christmas in 14 years," said Susan Storton, his mother.
